Cook Time 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 large ears of corn husked and cleaned
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adjust to your preferred spice level
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, for extra flavor
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
- Lime wedges for serving, optional
Instructions
-
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-400°F or 190-205°C). If you don't have a grill, you can also use an oven broiler with a rack positioned about 6 inches from the heat source.
-
Prepare the Corn: Cut each ear of corn into 3-4 smaller sections, resembling rib shapes.
-
Season the Corn: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Use a basting brush to generously coat each corn "rib" with the Cajun seasoning mixture. Make sure the corn is evenly covered.
-
Grill the Corn: Place the seasoned corn ribs on the preheated grill. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the corn is tender and has a nice charred appearance.
-
Optional Parmesan Coating: If you like, sprinkle the grilled corn ribs with grated Parmesan cheese while they're still hot. The cheese will melt and adhere to the corn, adding a rich and savory flavor.
-
Garnish and Serve: Transfer the Cajun Corn Ribs to a serving platter. Sprinkle them with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. You can also serve them with lime wedges for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
-
Enjoy: Cajun Corn Ribs are best enjoyed hot off the grill. They make a fantastic snack for gatherings, barbecues, or as a unique twist on movie night munchies.
