Nothing Like Meatloaf for Those Comfort Food Urges

An easy dish that'll remind you of home (especially if you make it at home!).

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs cracker crumbs work too
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/3 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Crank the oven up to 350.

  2. In a big bowl, combine the beef, egg, onion, milk and crumbs. Season that mixture with salt and pepper to taste. There's two ways to prep this for the oven: either place the mixture in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan, or you can form into a loaf by hand and place that in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, mustard and ketchup well. Pour that stuff over the meatloaf.

  4. However you prep the loaf, bake it in the pre-heated oven for 1 hour.
