  • bone-in beef short ribs 3 lbs.
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup prune juice
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pan.
  4. Sear the ribs for 8-10 mnutes per side, or until golden brown.
  5. Drain the fat from the pot. Now add the teriyaki, prune juice, and water.
  6. Cover and braise in the oven for 2-3 hours.
  7. Remove the ribs from the pan and boil the liquid until reduced.
  8. Spoon thickened sauce over the ribs.
  9. Serve and enjoy! 😀
