Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tspn baking soda
  • 4 oz milk chocolate chunks
  • 4 oz dark chocolate chunk

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sugars, salt, and butter in a large bowl until it becomes a paste-like form with no lumps.

  2. Mix in the egg and vanilla.

  3. Sift the flour and baking soda into the mixture. Fold the mixture using a spatula.

  4. Fold the chocolate chunks into the dough and chill for at least 30 minutes.

  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  6. Scoop the dough using an ice-cream scoop onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are starting to turn brown.

  8. Cool completely before serving.
