Ingredients
- 1 Can condensed milk
- 1 Can evaporated milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
Instructions
-
Prepare your caramel sauce in a microwave-safe bowl by heating 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 tablespoons of water on high for 3-4 minutes, or until the mixture turns amber in color.
-
Pour the caramel into a microwave-safe bowl or ramekin, and swirl to coat the bottom evenly.
-
In a blender, combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, and blend until smooth.
-
Pour the mixture over the caramel in the bowl or ramekin.
-
Cover the bowl or ramekin with plastic wrap, leaving one corner open to allow steam to escape.
-
Microwave on high for 5 minutes, or until the flan is set but still jiggly in the center.
-
Remove from the microwave and let cool for a few minutes.
-
Once cooled, run a knife around the edge of the flan to loosen it from the bowl or ramekin.
-
Place a plate on top of the bowl or ramekin and invert the flan onto the plate.
-
Serve chilled and enjoy your quick and easy 5-minute flan!
