A fruit-filled dessert with a crisp, fresh taste.
- 6 fresh peaches peeled, pitted, and sliced
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter
Turn the oven up to 375 F. While that's heating up, grease an 8 inch square baking dish.
In the bottom of the prepped dish, place the peaches and sprinkle them with almond extract.
Combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture until the mixture becomes crumbly.
Sprinkle the flour mixture in an even layer over the peaches, and bake that thign in the oven for about 45 minutes, until the peaches are bubbly and the topping is browned.
