Slow Cooker Cider Applesauce
Naturally sweet apples with a hint of cinnamon spice.
- 5 pounds apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Layer the apple slices at the bottom of the slow cooker, and sprinkle the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg over them.
Cook the apples on High until they turn soft, 4 to 5 hours. Either whisk apples vigorously or puree them with an immersion blender for a chunkier or smoother applesauce, respectively. for a chunkier-style applesauce.
