Biscuits with Sausage Gravy
Easy biscuits loaded with creamy sausage gravy.
- 1 16 ounce can refrigerated jumbo buttermilk biscuits
- 1 9.6 ounce package crumbled pork sausage
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 ½ cups milk
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Follow the directions on the can to bake the biscuits.
While the biscuits are baking, cook the sausage crumbles in big skillet over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Make sure to stir frequently. Stir in the flour, then gradually add in the milk. Cook that stuff until it comes to a boil and thickens, while stirring constantly. Turn the heat down to medium-low and let it simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Halve the finished biscuits and top each half with about 1/3 cup gravy.
