Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 large skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce Optional
  • 8 split sandwich rolls

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken into the slow cooker. In a small bowl, stir the ketchup, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce together until you've got a well-blended sauce.

  2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and secure the cooker lid. Set the cooker to Low and let it cook for 6 hours. When it's done, shred the chicken with two forks, and cook it on the same setting for an additional 30 minutes. Spoon some chicken and sauce onto the rolls and serve.
