A simple, creamy appetizer that never goes out of style

Classic deviled eggs are one of those timeless bites that work for any occasion. They’re smooth, creamy, and lightly tangy with a soft, rich filling that pairs perfectly with the tender egg whites. Easy to make and quick to serve, they’re perfect for gatherings, brunch tables, or a simple snack at home. The ingredients are minimal, but the flavor always feels satisfying.

Classic Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley optional

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat slightly and cook for 10–12 minutes.
  3. Transfer the eggs to cold water and let them cool completely.
  4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  5. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  6. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar or lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Mash and mix until the filling is smooth and creamy.
  8. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg white halves.
  9. Lightly sprinkle paprika on top.
  10. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired and serve chilled.
