I dare you to find someone who doesn't love mozzarella sticks.
- 2 large eggs eggs beaten
- ¼ cup water
- 1 ½ cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup cornstarch
- 1 quart oil for deep frying
- 1 16 ounce package mozzarella cheese sticks
Mix up the water and eggs in a small mixing bowl.
In a separate, medium-sized bowl, mix the garlic salt and bread crumbs. In yet another bowl, blend the flour and cornstarch.
Heat up the oil to 365 F in a large, heavy-duty saucepan.
Carefully coat each cheese stick in the flour mixture, followed by the egg mixture, and then the bread crumbs. Place each stick into the oil right after you coat them and let them fry until they turn golden brown, about 30 seconds. Take them out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
