Simple techniques that help chicken absorb seasoning and stay tender while cooking

Marinating chicken is one of the easiest ways to add deep flavor before cooking. A good marinade allows the seasoning to soak into the meat and helps keep it juicy. With the right balance of ingredients and enough resting time, the chicken becomes more flavorful and tender. This method works well for grilling, baking, or pan cooking.

Chicken Marinade

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken pieces or boneless chicken
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 half teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt optional

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in a large bowl or a resealable bag.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, oregano, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add yogurt if you prefer a slightly richer marinade. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken and coat each piece evenly.
  5. Cover the bowl or seal the bag and place it in the refrigerator.
  6. Let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours so the flavors develop.
  7. Remove the chicken from the marinade before cooking and cook it using your preferred method.
