Crispy tater tots covered in nacho cheese.
- 1 32 ounce package frozen tater tots
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 1 ounce package taco seasoning mix
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup spicy nacho cheese sauce
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup diced onion
- ¼ cup jalapeno pepper slices
Turn the oven up to 450 F.
Arrange the tots in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake the tots in the oven until golden and heated through, 24 to 26 minutes.
In a big skillet over medium-high, cook and stir the ground beef until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes, then drain and dump the grease. Stir the water and taco seasoning into the beef and keep cooking and stirring until the liquid thickens, 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour the cheese into a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Give it a stir, then continue heating in 15-second intervals until hot, stirring between each intervals.
Spread the tots on a serving plate and top them with meat, cheese sauce, sour cream, onion, and jalapeno slices.
