Don’t Be Green With This Creamy Pasta, You’ll Need to Share

Green Sauce Shrimp Pasta

Creamy shrimp pasta with a hue of green from fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 300 g shrimp
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 750 ml warm milk
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 1 tspn pepper
  • 1 tspn ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 cup parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup chives chopped
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 300 g cooked pasta

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan on medium-high heat and lightly saute the thyme and rosemary. Add the shrimp and cook until done. Remove shrimp from pan.

  2. Mix in the flour to the pan and stir until it becomes a rue. Slowly stir in the milk.

  3. Add the salt, pepper, nutmeg, onion, parsley, and chives. Use a handblender to blend until creamy and bring to a simmer.

  4. Add back the shrimp and the lime juice. Stir.

  5. Finally add the cooked pasta, mix well and remove from heat.
